Opening an Account

 

You can open an account without coming in person using our non-Face to Face account opening package.

Non-Face to Face account openings do require extra work and take longer to open.

Guardian International Currency opens Commercial Accounts for the following structures:

  • Incorporated entity
  • Partnerships
  • Sole Proprietorships
  • Charities

 

Your company's legal entity type will determine the specific information that you will provide to Guardian International Currency in order to open your account.

 

To open an account your company will need to:

  • Complete a Commercial Account Application form.
  • Provide a copy of current, government issued, identification for the principal of the company e.g. director, owner.
  • Provide a copy of your entity's legal documentation.
  • Provide documentation showing the ownership structure of the company

 

Upon receipt of your application paperwork a dedicated Account Representative will be assigned to you and will discuss any additional requirements to fully open your account.

To open an Individual Account with us please complete our account application available here, and bring it in person along with your identification to our office at 151 Yonge Street.

If you are not able to come to our office please let us know either by phone or use our Contact Form and we will send you our non-Face to Face account opening package.

Most accounts can usually be opened the same day we receive all of your completed documentation.

In some cases we may require further information from you prior to opening the account.

Acceptable identification is current, valid, government issued identification, such as Drivers Licence, Passport, Citizenship card.

The original identification must be presented to us, copies are not accepted.

In some cases we may ask for specific identification, such as it must be photo ID.

Depending on our relationship with you we may require more than one piece of identification.

 

Note:  By law we cannot accept Health Cards from Ontario, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, or Prince Edward Island.

Account Representative

 

If you have opened an account with us there will usually be a primary contact person at Guardian International Currency who is your Account Rep.

Your Account Rep will build a relationship with you getting to know you and your Currency Exchange needs so that we may better serve them.

We do work as a group and if your Account Rep is not available another staff member will help you with your transaction, question or concern.
